Targeted System Solution

In its four operating rooms, the HMS Mirdif Hospital employs the EIZO CuratOR solution for Documentation and video management. Aside from EIZO's outstanding reputation, the system's user-friendliness played a crucial role in selecting the EIZO system. The core and central control element is the Surgical Panel SP1-49T in conjunction with Caliop vm and Caliop doc. The SP1-49T, a space-saving wall-mounted 49'' full HD monitor with an integrated PC, is linked into the hospital's IT system. The user-friendly interface of Caliop facilitates video management and documentation from this point, enabling access to PACS and EMR. The integrated touchscreen of the SP1-49T particularly simplifies video management operation. The sources connected to the integrated video matrix, such as light cameras, room cameras, and four additional SDI interfaces distributed in the operating room, facilitate seamless surgery documentation via plug and play. Additionally, the connected video signals can be routed to the external 31'' full HD EIZO monitor, CuratOR EX3140, mounted on the ceiling pendant.

The HMS Mirdif Hospital also opted for an EIZO monitor for its meeting room. The CuratOR EX5841, with a 58'' screen diagonal and 4K resolution, enables optimal viewing of medical images, especially during interdisciplinary medical meetings.

Seamless Operations

Upon order placement, project coordination was taken over by the EIZO team and its partner. Infrastructure and cabling were set up in advance, followed by the installation of the Surgical Panel, monitor, and connections. Ossama Al Hayek, Group Biomedical Engineering Director, reports: "The collaboration with the EIZO team was excellent. Our contacts were highly cooperative and available for our calls and queries at all times." Additionally, Ossama Al Hayek added: "Training for biomedical staff and nursing was conducted for the system's commissioning. It was a smooth process."
